How to Design Technical Workstations

Designing a Technical Office Requires Technical Furniture

Designing a Technical Office Requires Technical Furniture

Most of the time when the designers at SPACE, Inc. think about workstations they are talking about office cubicles.  In this case I’m talking about creating a working environment for lab areas, healthcare stations or LAN stations.  That is an area that sometimes gets overlooked when designing an interior space.  Technical workstations need to have visual and physical accessibility to equipment and cabling.  They usually consist of a frame, shelving units, multiple worksurfaces, and storage.  Some require plumbing to accommodate wet lab environments.  When we specify these types of stations we usually use products from  Symbiote.  They are a leader in this type of office and lab furniture.
