InterfaceFLOR

Have you ever thought about what might be growing in your carpet?  That coffee you spilled a month ago?  You did your best to clean it up, but it probably did not eliminate the possibility of the growth of mold and mildew.  The answer to your maintenance issues?  InterfaceFLOR has developed Intersept®, a patented antimicrobial preservative, permanently incorporated into the backing of all InterfaceFLOR products.  Intersept protects carpet from a broad spectrum of mold, mildew, bacteria and odor-causing microorganisms.  This preservative is so effective, InterfaceFLOR supplies it to leading manufacturers of HVAC equipment, adhesives, air filters, paint, interior fabrics, wall coverings and ceiling tiles to provide protection to their products.  Contact  SPACE Inc today for more information on this and other flooring solutions!

I’ve always loved the FLOR collection of products - this is yet another reason to choose these modular tiles. I’m assuming Intersept is a silver particle impregnation technique like that used in anti-microbial lanyards and other office supplies. That technology is really catching on. So far, it doesn’t appear bacteria is becoming resistant to silver. Let’s hope it stays that way!

This manufacturer has a great sustainability program and uses non-toxic adhesives to promote good indoor air quality. I know some of their products can earn LEED credits - yet another reason to explore FLOR.
